Summary:

This module helps school leaders understand how to analyze and use summative and interim assessment data in the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium Reporting System to make informed decisions to support student progress toward college and career readiness. Instructional videos, interactive learning events, and real-life scenarios explain what data are available, what the data mean, and how to use the data as part of a five-step evidence-based inquiry process. Educators have opportunities to practice analyzing Smarter Balanced assessment data and to consider how they might apply the inquiry process in their own practice. Please note that the visuals in the reporting system may change over time as they are updated to provide optimal user experience. States may deploy their own reporting systems, which may have different visual components.

Smmary:

In this 15-minute interactive module, educators will learn about the purpose and use of Smarter Balanced Interim Assessment Blocks (IABs). Educators will investigate the two types of IAB score reports available from the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium Reporting System. They will also discover ways to use evidence the Smarter Balanced Interim Assessments Blocks and the Formative Assessment Process provide as part of an inquiry process to make instructional decisions. Please note that the visuals in the reporting system may change over time as they are updated to provide optimal user experience. States may deploy their own reporting systems, which may have different visual components.
