We would like to introduce the staff:
Diana Arban: teaches AP Government and Economics. Former member of UCSD's soccer team. Original founding member of our department. She has a masters in Political Science.
John Carnesecca: Department Chair; Varsity Football Coach. AP-IB US History teacher.
Kurt Herbst: teaches World and AP World History. We call him the machine.
Scott Husband: teaches AP World History and Government. Long time Temeculan. Graduate of TVHS. An original member of our department.
Kerry Leander: teaches AP Psychology and World History. He is veteran teacher of many years and a founding member of our department.
Jack Bauer: teaches US History. Formerly of Temecula Middle School. Originally from south Dakota.
Dane Benham: teaches Geography and World History. He also coaches water polo.
Carolyn Husband: teaches AP European History and US History. Another longtime Temecula resident with strong ties to the community. She taught at TVHS for many years.
Ray Fisher: teaches US History and Government. He is a veteran of Riverside County education and comes to us from CHS. He is the head Varsity boy's and girl's tennis coach.
Don Jones: teaches Economics and Geography. He comes to us from GOHS from CHS.
Pat Nevens: teaches Geography and AP Human Geography. He joins our department from Orange High School. He is a varsity football coach.
Herschel Ramirez: teaches World History and AP Economics. He joins our staff from Mt. Eden HS in Hayward, California. He too is a football coach.
Richard Uris: teaches Economics. He is a veteran of Temecula Valley USD and comes to us through Rochester University, Penn State, Cornell, and the University of Michigan.
Bill Moyer: teaches AP US History and Government. He has been a member of Great Oak staff since its inception and is the head boys basketball coach.
Evan Moore: teaches AVID and World History. He formerly taught in Santa Barbara. He also coaches baseball.
J.P. Santone: teaches World History and US History. He is our head wrestling coach.
