OCTOBER 11, 2017 GREAT OAK COLLEGE & CAREER DAY KICKOFF

Grades 9 and 10 will be taking the PSAT. These tests are free across the district and help

to prepare our students for college readiness.

Grade 11 may take the PSAT for National Merit Scholar standing. PSAT tests may be ordered

through the bookkeeper or online through the GOHS webstore for $16.

Juniors not taking the PSAT, may take the ASVAB assessment for career aptitude results. The ASVAB is also a free test across the district.

Seniors will be working on FAFSA, College Applications, Career Aptitude tasks, College Readiness tasks, taking their

Senior Class Photo, and ending the Kickoff with a Senior BBQ.

After lunch, all students will participate in School Safety activities.

California School Dashboard

California is moving to a new way of measuring the success of schools and districts.

The California School Dashboard is a work-in-progress and the first version of the Dashboard will be introduced to the public in early March of 2017. The indicators on the Dashboard are divided into two major sections: State Indicators and Local Indicators.
