About Mrs. Burdick-Rutz
My teaching philosophy is that everyone has strengths and weaknesses and we need to use the strengths to lift up the weaknesses. Students learn best in an environment where they feel safe to take risks and ask questions, feel appreciated and when we believe in their amazing abilities. Make your public education count- these are your tax payer dollars at work so get the most for your money.
I was born in Tucson, Arizona. I graduated East Lansing High School in Michigan and went on to graduate from Michigan State University with a degree in Earth Science in 1995. Go Spartans! At MSU I met and married Jerry Burdick-Rutz on July 22, 1995. I finished my teaching credential with University of New Mexico in 1996- Go Lobos. I've taught 5th grade in Belen, New Mexico, middle school at Margarita Middle School in Temecula, high school at CHS but love being part of the Wolfpack best of all. We have three kids, Ben, John and Jane who I am amazed with everyday. Ben and John attend Great Oak right now.
I also coordinating the school Garden and always need volunteers and garden enthusiasts!
