I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where I was born and raised. I worked as a chemist doing lab analysis for a few years, until I discovered that my true vocation was to be a teacher. I taught chemistry and other science classes in an American school in Rio for 6 years before I decided to move to the United States to complete my Masters in Education from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. In 2008, my husband took a position at UCR and we relocated to beautiful southern California.

Teaching is my vocation and Science is my passion.
