Great Oak Choir
A little bit about us...
Great Oak High School boasts an excellent choir program, consistently achieving "Superior" and "Excellent" ratings at choir festival competitions. The top mixed ensemble has won noble accolades, including, but not limited to, multiple student invitations to All‑State Choir. GOHS Choir performs regularly at school assemblies, sporting events, Wolfpack Student Body events, and other community festivals/competitions as able. As part of Great Oak's acclaimed Visual and Performing Arts program, choir has active support, and most importantly, participation from the entire school community.
Our Director...
Great Oak High School is privileged to have Mr. Jesse Sun as the Choir and String Orchestra Director on campus. This year, Mr. Sun will be starting his second year teaching vocal music and will start his first year conducting a string orchestra at GOHS. He received his Undergrad degree at Cal State Fullerton, with his Master's degree and Credentials from Azusa Pacific University. We are all truly thankful to have Mr. Sun as part of the Wolfpack!
Great Oak High School Choir results from the 2026 Southern California Vocal Association.
The music performed are pieces that Concert Choir and Advanced Treble Choir learned and performed in the Fall, and are brought back momentarily for competitions like these.
These are the ratings available:
1. Superior (the highest rating), 2. Excellent, 3. Fair, and 4. Participatory
Please help us congratulate the members of both Concert Choir and Advanced Treble Choir for these achievements:
Concert Choir received an Excellent in Sight-Reading and an Excellent in Performance.
Advanced Treble Choir got a Superior in Sight-Reading and a Superior in Performance.
WE HAVE SOME REAL TALENT AND DRIVE at GOHS!
